How To format Flash drive in linux


Hello brother, this time I want to show you, How to Format the Flash in Linux or Ubuntu.

Perform these activities on windows is very easy, but if we linux users, to perform these activities, requiring manual way, now how do we do it.

do not worry, here we will discuss together.

The first thing you should do is open a terminal on your linux or ubuntu. after appearing terminal, log in as root with the command sudo su, enter your password, then type the code below:

fdisk-l (to open and see where the location of your flash drive is)
on my computer flash driver is located on "/ dev/sdb1"
and after that type:
umount /dev/sdb1
mkfs.vfat -n www.localtechno.blogspot.com /dev/sdb1



then press the enter key on your computer keyboard.
wait for it to finish and flash disks are ready for use.

note:
mkfs.vfat = FAT type, are suggested to use the FAT type in order to avoid errors while doing the format.
